About the Harrogate Road League
- The Harrogate District Summer Road Race League (Harrogate Road League, or HRL for brevity) is a friendy league of local clubs which
organises a series of Summer races each year
- Races are generally 5-6.5 miles and on the road, 'though some include 'trails'
- All races are covered by North of England Athletic Association (NoEAA) permits
- All races are followed by a social 'supper' provided by the host club
- Members of affiliated clubs have their results count towards club team totals (see Rules)
- There is a one-off entry fee to cover the whole series of races and the handicap
- Each affiliated club has a 'Team Manager' to manage initial registration before the first race, collecting entry fees, etc.
- The league competition is followed by a handicap race and presentation evening: there are prizes for individuals, club teams, and the handicap race.
- The League has been supported for many years "UP & RUNNING" - with local runners' shops including Harrogate, Headingley, and York
- The 2007 and 2008 League races have also been sponsored by The Divan Centre
- Please support our sponsors, as they support us
